Charles Barkley Thinks LeBron James Should Have Been On The All-NBA Second Team And Kevin Durant Should Have Been On The Third Team: “I Thought That LeBron Played At A Higher Level… That’s The Only One I Would Have Flipped.”

The All-NBA teams were announced last night, ahead of Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals between the Dallas Mavericks and the Golden State Warriors.

Kevin Durant was named to the All-NBA Second Team, whereas LeBron James was named to the All-NBA Third Team. One NBA legend believes that the two players should be swapped out and take each other’s place on the second and third teams, respectively.

Charles Barkley spoke after the All-NBA teams were announced on Inside The NBA. Barkley was confused as to why Kevin Durant was named to the All-NBA Second Team and LeBron to the All-NBA Third Team.

Ernie Johnson pointed out that both players played an almost identical amount of games, to which Barkley responded that he feels the two players should be swapped out on the All-NBA teams, putting LeBron on the second team and Durant on the third team (3:12 onwards):

“The only problem I would have had, I’m not sure how many games Kevin Durant played over LeBron, that would be my only question. Because I know he missed a chunk of the season because of the knee injury… I thought that LeBron played at a higher level, in my opinion, that’s the only one I would have flipped.”

Barkley does make a good point, considering how well LeBron played and was able to keep the Lakers winning games as much as possible, despite how poor they were.

Whereas Durant also played well, but he wasn’t relied upon as much by the Nets, as they still had James Harden for a portion of the season and Kyrie Irving for most of the away games.

We here at Fadeaway World made our predictions for all the All-NBA teams last month, and we got 14 out of the 15 players right, including them in the exact same teams, which you can read here.
