Draymond Green is the type of player every team loves to have on their side, but absolutely hates him when he is on the opposing team. Looking at Green’s numbers throughout his career, there’s not much that stands out.
Only the Golden State Warriors know his true value. In the Warriors’ four championship runs over the last eight seasons, Green has played a crucial role in each one of them.
While the likes of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson handle scoring duties for the team, Green is arguably the glue that keeps the team together. Apart from that, he also has excellent playmaking abilities.
On top of that, the biggest ability that Green possesses is to lead his team on the floor and take care of the defensive end of the floor. So when Green was suspended for Game 5 of the 2016 NBA Finals, the Dubs certainly felt his absence on the court.
Had Green been there, the Warriors might have finished the series at that point instead of blowing a 3-1 lead against the Cavaliers. Fast forward to 2022, the Warriors star forward once again, seemingly made reference to the incident when Stephen Curry forcefully shut down Green’s podcast during the 2022 ESPYS.
"I've been kicked outta bigger situations than this."

While there is no confirmation that Green was indeed referencing the incident from 2016, it seems like the most probable option.
Speaking of Green at the ESPYS, he might have been shut down here by Steph. But before that, when he made an unexpected announcement of the latest episode of ‘The Draymond Green Show,’ it was met with cheers.
Even more so when he decided to troll the Los Angeles Clippers in his opening. He claimed that the city of Angels is home to seven professional sports teams and the Clippers.
