Over the last few weeks, the Brooklyn Nets have been playing like one of the best teams in the NBA. After a shaky start to the season, many already wrote off the team from reaching the level of a contender for the NBA title. But the Nets turned things around after firing head coach Steve Nash.

Since that decision, the Brooklyn Nets have been playing at a sensational level. In fact, many are now labeling the duo of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant as the best duo in the entire league. But obviously, there are a few that still do not agree with that.

Either way, Kevin Durant and co. couldn’t care less about it, as they are consistently winning games.

Kevin Durant Talks About The Brooklyn Nets’ Dominant Stretch

Kevin Durant has been in insane form this season. He is currently averaging 30.0 PPG, 6.7 RPG, and 5.5 APG this season. Durant’s sensational form has helped the Nets to have an 8-1 record over the last nine games.

Upon being asked about the secret behind the Nets’ insane form over this stretch, KD believes it is because the Nets have played several home games in that time span.

“Favorable schedule, being at home for seven of those, and being able to wake up in our own beds and have our own routine at home definitely matters, we also faced teams that missed a couple of guys as well but for the most part, I like the brand of basketball we played on both ends of the floor.”

Durant gave a pretty honest answer to the question. Having a favorable schedule is certainly helpful for a team to gain confidence and string together a winning streak. The Nets may even be considered a bit lucky in that department.

Speaking of KD’s honesty, the 34-year-old is very humble. Even when he was earlier compared to Kobe Bryant, he honestly admitted that he tries to copy his moves on the court. He said the same about Michael Jordan as well.
