Kevin Durant Lauds Ja Morant After Grizzlies Defeat Nets: "You See Him Blossoming Before Our Eyes."

Ja Morant Says He's Not Afraid Of Any Player: "I Don't Fear Nobody, Dawg. I Don't Care If You 7'7 Or Whatever. I'm Coming Straight At You."

Ja Morant has developed into an All-Star caliber player for the Memphis Grizzlies, and some would even go as far as to call him a future superstar. Currently, Ja Morant is averaging 24.7 PPG, 5.7 RPG, and 6.6 APG for the season, and he has led them to the 4th seed in the Western Conference.

The Memphis Grizzlies have recently defeated the Brooklyn Nets 118-104. The Memphis Grizzlies were in control for most of the game, and Ja Morant was a huge reason for them winning. He finished with 36 points and 8 assists.

Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant lauded Ja Morant after the game, claiming that Morant is "blossoming in front of our eyes". There is no question that Ja Morant has elevated his game this season, and he has certainly developed into a player the Memphis Grizzlies can build around as a centerpiece.

He’s just controlling the games. Always been an efficient player who can run the point guard spot, but he’s developed into a major scorer as well. He just plays with great pace out there, plays with joy and enthusiasm, and you see him blossoming in front of our eyes. I mean since college he's been on this trajectory, and as a basketball fan you can't wait to see what it's like years going forward.

Kevin Durant isn't the only one that has expressed awe at Ja Morant's abilities. Kendrick Perkins has previously claimed that would be the next player to get a small-market team a championship, and compared him to superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. Clearly, Ja Morant commands a lot of respect from players and analysts alike.

We'll see how well the Memphis Grizzlies do going forward. However, it is clear that they are a better team than last season, and going from the play-in tournament to being the 4th seed shows progress on their part. Hopefully, we see them in the playoffs again, and Ja Morant will be sure to put on a show during the postseason.
