LeBron James has been loud and proud about where he comes from as long as he has been in the league. The King has returned to Cleveland for the All-Star Weekend, and he has again returned as the captain of one of the teams, having played stellar basketball all season. James will be looking forward to spending some time in the city that he enjoyed the greatest achievement of his career in and he certainly seems excited about it.

LeBron shared a small clip on Instagram, announcing that he has returned to his hometown and looking ready to go for the weekend’s festivities. While being back in Cleveland is certainly a big positive for James, the team he has picked for the All-Star game is also something that is cause for excitement.

“The hometown kid is BAAAAACCCCCCKKKKKK!!!! Ya HEARD #ThekidfromAKRON #AllStar22⭐️

LeBron is likely happy to be back in Cleveland also so that he can step away from the disappointing season that his Los Angeles Lakers have been having. The team has struggled massively despite LeBron playing at almost an MVP level, and the roster has failed to meet expectations all season. A Break and reset might just be the thing LeBron needs that could allow him to return and power his team to a more favorable seed ahead of this season’s playoffs.

Before that though, LeBron has an All-Star Game that he will surely be hoping to get a victory in. His team has the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Steph Curry, Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic, all of whom have performed at incredible levels this season in their own right. Getting a win in Cleveland, the city that means so much to James, will certainly be on the agenda and he looks primed to do it.
