LeBron James’ Edited IG Post Draws Hilarious Reactions From Fans

Unfortunately for LeBron James, the edited post couldn't have gone out at a worse time.

LeBron James’ use of social media to his advantage doesn’t always work. At least, not after the Los Angeles Lakers’ 134-120 loss to the Sacramento Kings.

Heading into the clash, James took to Instagram to post an image of him taking a shot at the Golden 1 Center, except that the arena’s ticker, which usually has ‘Kings’ on it was edited to ‘King’.

Known colloquially as King James, the subtle edit didn’t really go unnoticed by fans on social media. While some took digs at the veteran, some had hilarious responses to the post.

Unfortunately for James, the edited post couldn’t have gone out at a worse time as a short-handed squad fell short despite his spirited 31-point night studded with 6 rebounds, and 11 assists.

Can LeBron James Take The Lakers To A Better Position In Anthony Davis’ Absence?

With Anthony Davis expected to miss two-three months due to his foot injury, the onus will be on James to steer the Lakers’ ship. Their upcoming schedule might not be the toughest, but they still need to play their hearts out if they intend to win without one of their centerpieces.

James has been producing at a high level. His last five games see him average 32.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 7.6 assists. On the whole, he’s averaging 27.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.7 assists so far this season.

The 37-year-old, who turns a digit older in nine days, will need some solid support coming in from the likes of Lonnie Walker IV, Russell Westbrook, and Austin Reaves if they intend to win at least half of their away games over the next fortnight.

The Lakers play struggling teams Charlotte Hornets and the Orlando Magic in their next slate of six games, and some sterner tests in the form of the Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat. Their 13-18 record will have some challenges coming up, and only time will tell if James can carry the team through in Davis’ absence.
