LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers snapped their 3-game losing streak following a phenomenal win against the Detroit Pistons. The victory helped the Lakers improve their record to 11-15 and hold the 12th seed in the Western Conference.

Although the Lakers are still 4 wins short of having a .500 record, this win was instrumental in building the confidence of the team. LeBron James and Anthony Davis were undoubtedly the heroes of this win as the dynamic duo dominated the game.

Speaking of James, he recorded 35 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in the 124-117 victory. Apart from leading the team in scoring, James gave fans a hilarious meme as well after getting fouled during the game.

Although the foul wasn’t that hard, James decided to bring out the actor in himself and went down on the floor. LeBron was clearly joking, and it got chuckles from fans after seeing the 37-year-old stay on the floor with a hilarious expression on his face.

The Los Angeles Lakers Need A Winning Streak

Considering the fact that the Lakers started the season with a 0-5 record, they are certainly in a favorable situation. But the competition in the Western Conference is simply too good this season, the Lakers need to put together a long winning streak to at least secure a playoff spot this season.

The dynamic duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis will certainly be pivotal in hopes of making that dream a reality. However, at the same time, the burden shouldn’t fall on the shoulders of either superstar. NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith perfectly explained how the Lakers need to make sure that the entire burden doesn’t fall on Anthony Davis, despite him having an MVP-esque season.

“It’s clearly Anthony Davis. Simply because the Lakers don’t have a defense without him, without him, they giving up about 123 points a game, they can’t stop a cold. That’s the bottom line. And that’s what it really really comes down to. And he’s their interior offense as well. LeBron can get to the hole, Russell Westbrook can get to the hole. But, you talking about somebody that can play with their back to the basket, and get to the hole, get in the paint, make things happen, block shots, rebound – that would be Anthony Davis,” Smith said.

Hopefully, the Los Angeles Lakers can carry this momentum and continue winning games. After all, their championship window is closing fast with LeBron James all set to turn 38 years old this month.
