LeBron James is currently averaging nearly 28 points per game as he continues to show out for the Los Angeles Lakers. However, this has not stopped the team from languishing near the bottom of the Western Conference with a 13-20 record. Anthony Davis is injured once again, and there seems to be no respite for Lakers fans as they continue to hope that the team will turn it around.
There were reports recently that the Lakers’ front office doesn’t want to make any drastic win-now trades at the moment. This will surely not have pleased LeBron James, who has been sending some interesting messages to the decision-makers within the franchise. The Los Angeles Lakers need to make changes to their roster if they want to maximize LeBron James’ evergreen talents, especially before he starts getting annoyed.
LeBron James Admitted He Gets Frustrated At Times But Explained His Process
After they got blown out by the Dallas Mavericks on Christmas, many wondered how LeBron James is feeling about the entire situation. In a recent article from The Athletic, James did say he gets frustrated from time to time but then went on to explain that there are also aspects of the game that he very much enjoys.
“At the end of the day, I love to play the game of basketball,” James said about how this year has been for him. “I’m still enjoying going out there and playing in front of fans, either at home or on the road. And I’m just trying to control what I can control.
“I show up, try to lead these guys and try to lead to victories and obviously there’s been times when it’s been frustrating. There’s been times that I’ve been happy. There’s been times where I’ve been like, ‘OK, we can do better here,’ or whatever the case may be. But I always try to stay even-keeled.”
The Los Angeles Lakers have some winnable games coming up; they will be playing the Heat, Hawks, and Hornets shortly, all of whom have their issues. The Lakers managed to dig themselves out of a hole after they started the season 2-10, and they will need to do that again if they want to even give themselves a chance of achieving something in the playoffs.
