NBA Rumors: Spurs, Heat, Celtics And Hornets Are Interested In Nikola Vucevic

Nikola Vucevic has played all his NBA seasons but one with the Orlando Magic, becoming one of the best players on the team in recent history, trying to lead the squad to be a competitive one every campaign. Vucevic has earned two All-Star Game calls in the past two seasons and that shows how great he’s been for the Magic.

He has always expressed his love for the team but it seems like he’s ready to go play in a bigger market when the deadline strikes. Several names have been linked with a move away from their teams and even though Vucevic isn’t on the market, there are squads interested in his services. Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer recently reported that the Montenegrin player has been targeted by the San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, and even Charlotte Hornets.

The Heat, Spurs, Celtics, and Hornets have all expressed significant interest in acquiring All-Star center Nikola Vucevic, league sources say. Vucevic, 30, is averaging 24.6 points and 3.7 assists while hitting 41.2 percent of his 3s and grabbing 11.6 rebounds per game. Front office executives around the league are skeptical that the Magic will end up pulling the trigger on a deal, though, given that Vucevic has two more seasons left on his contract; if they do, the price would be high.

He has been great for the Magic but it seems like it’s time to look for a new challenge in the league. His teammate Evan Fournier has also been linked with an exit from Orlando and that can happen before March 25.

It would be interesting to see what these candidates have to offer for Vucevic, one of the best big men in the league for some time now. He has very good options to continue his NBA career but only time will tell how this situation is going to end.
