NBA Rumors: Houston Rockets Could Trade Clint Capela To The Atlanta Hawks

1 Min Read

In the midst of an abysmal season, the Atlanta Hawks have a lot to look forward to in the next few years to come. With Trae Young and John Collins, they have a promising young core with which to build their future around.

But don’t expect them to stay silent this deadline. In a report by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Hawks are serious in their pursuit of a big man and could look at Houston’s Clint Capela to fill out their roster.

Averaging 13.9 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game, Capela is one of those traditional, rim-protecting bigs. He is exceptional at anchoring the defense, grabbing rebounds, and providing a dominant presence under the basket.

In Atlanta, he could help Trae Young by drawing defenders inside and grabbing offensive rebounds for second shot attempts. Word on the street is, the Hawks are also looking at trading for OKC’s Steven Adams.

So, while their future may be mired in uncertainty, we know what their plans are to improve. We’ll just have to wait and find out to see its results.
