NBA Trade Rumors: Ben Simmons Wants Trade To The Los Angeles Lakers, LA Clippers, Or Golden State Warriors

Rumors around the future of Ben Simmons are heating up at the moment. In the last few days, multiple reports have emerged that Simmons is going to be traded by the 76ers.

Simmons has been on the trading block for quite some time. Despite a strong regular season for Simmons, another poor showing in the postseason has sealed his fate, and he will most likely be leaving the 76ers.

Philly has been trying to trade him for quite some time. Over the last few months, Simmons and the 76ers have been linked to a potential deal with several teams. But nothing came of it, and Simmons still remains part of the Sixers roster.

The closest the 76ers got was a trade with the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs passed up a trade for Simmons because of the 76ers high demands.

But now that they have seen how difficult it is to trade Simmons away, they may be ready to lower their asking price.

NBA insider Shams Charania did report a few days ago that the Minnesota Timberwolves were the team that remain the most interested in Simmons, and were trying to figure out how to make a deal happen.

The trade will likely involve one of the Timberwolves’ major stars, potentially D’Angelo Russell. But a deal isn’t on the table as of yet. As time goes on, it will be revealed whether the 76ers and Timberwolves will agree to a deal.

But that isn’t where Simmons wants to go. According to Philly insider Keith Pompey, Simmons has his eyes on contenders. More specifically, Simmons is eyeing the Los Angeles Lakers, LA Clippers, and Golden State Warriors.

Simmons will probably not get a deal to go to either of these teams. The Lakers and Clippers will not be ready to sacrifice their stars, and have built their team to contend already.

As for the Warriors, they do have the assets, but were turned away by the steep asking price. But if the 76ers are willing to lower their evaluation, the Warriors could get Simmons in the team.
