Unless you are living under the rock, by now, you must have already heard about the news of Kevin Durant requesting a trade out of the Brooklyn Nets. After spending just three seasons with the franchise, KD has decided it’s time to move on in his career.

As of now, Durant has been heavily linked to the Phoenix Suns and the Miami Heat. After all, he has named those two teams as his preferred destinations. But since KD still has four years left on his contract, he is at the mercy of the Brooklyn Nets to find a suitable trade that benefits both parties.

In the rumor mill, there seems to be some belief that Kevin Durant could also head back to the Golden State Warriors. Yes, the same move that made Durant a villain for almost every NBA fan. There are rumors that he is once again linked to the Warriors.

While the trade is currently being labeled as extremely unlikely, there are 3 trade packages that could help the Warriors land the former MVP. But again, this is extremely unlikely, and NBA analyst Nick Wright tried to make it abundantly clear that nobody wants this move in a recent video.

"No, I do not want to see Kevin Durant back on the Warriors. No one wants this. I don't want this. Steph doesn't want this. I'd be shocked if Kevin Durant wants this. And I know Golden State Warriors fans don't want this." — @getnickwright pic.twitter.com/Q3zDqx4h5Q

“No, I do not want to see Kevin Durant back on the Warriors… I would request NBA media, Adam Silver, Bob Myers, and Sean Marks to kill this idea with fire.  No one wants this. I don’t want this. Steph doesn’t want this. I’d be shocked if Kevin Durant wants this. And I know Golden State Warriors fans don’t want this.”

Kevin Durant joining the Warriors is regarded as the single weakest move ever pulled off by an NBA superstar by most experts.

When he wasn’t able to win rings with the Oklahoma City Thunder, KD decided to join the best team in the NBA and bullied the league for a couple of years. In fact, when he left the Dubs back in 2019, most fans were relieved due to the fact that the championship window for more teams finally opened up again.

So if KD once again plays for the Warriors, it will once again ruin the power balance in the NBA, and this time around, fans will never forgive Kevin Durant.
