Nikola Jokic was at it again tickling the media and fans’ funny bone with some cheeky responses. When asked about how the Phoenix Suns would respond in Game 3 after trailing 0-2, he trolled the latter.

“No, my friend, I expect they surrender and give us the win,” Jokic said after the team’s practice session. Safe to say, despite all the high pressure surrounding the series, the Nuggets star still finds room to crack a joke or two.

The Nuggets reeled off two straight wins against the Suns, with Game 3 shifting to the Suns’ home turf. A win will surely make them firm favorites to make the Western Conference Finals.

The MVP runner-up continued his stellar form that he was in throughout the regular season and against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the postseason. He notched up 24 and 39 points, respectively, against the Suns in the first two games. Now, he will be eager to close out the series against a dominant Suns outfit.

Nikola Jokic Wasn’t Short Of Jokes Ahead Of The Phoenix Suns Matchup

Perhaps, Jokic’s sense of humor is the secret behind his electric performances on the floor. Earlier, he had an epic, single-word reply when asked about his plans for Phoenix’s relentless pick-and-rolls. His simple answer was “pray.”

It’s good to see that the center is in a good place and that infectious attitude is surely rubbing off on the team as they look near clinical with each passing game. And to top it all off, he wasn’t taking his opposition lightly, which meant the jokes weren’t going to be cracked on the court.

“Probably, they are the favorites to win the championship,” Jokic said ahead of the matchup. “They have an amazing group of guys. Well-coached. There is Chris Paul, who is probably the best floor general in the game. Booker and KD are superstars, arguably the best players in the NBA right now,” Jokic said. “It’s a very big challenge for us.”

But with the big man in stupendous form, the Nuggets are ready to face whatever challenge is thrown at them.
