The Oklahoma City Thunder have one of the most beloved mascots in the NBA, Rumble The Bison. He’s been a fixture at OKC games for years, through the high points of their era in the 2010s and even today as a rebuilding team.

Even though mascots like Rumble don’t earn the incredible salary that mascot Rocky gets with the Denver Nuggets, Rumble is very liked and a fan favorite. As mascots do, Rumble is very visible on the court during any break in the action to engage the crowd. However, Rumble decided to prank a reporter before OKC’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers and gave her the fright of her life.

This was a fun moment and it’s good to see that the reporter had a good sense of humor about it. Mascots will prank anyone in their way. These mascots aren’t afraid of players like Devin Booker or others and do what they want to during a game.

Oklahoma City Thunder’s Endless Rebuild

The Oklahoma City Thunder began their attempt at tanking in 2019-20 when they traded Russell Westbrook and Paul George away. However, a strong core led by Chris Paul took them to the playoffs regardless. Now, they’re 2 years without making the postseason and it looks like this year will be a 3rd consecutive playoff miss for OKC.

They have all the talent in the world with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leading a squad full of young and promising talent. Josh Giddey, Chet Holmgren, Lu Dort, Jalen Williams, and many more are emerging as stars in the NBA, which might force the Thunder to start making some moves to pivot toward contention. brkoen
