A 7x All-Star, 2x Scoring Champ, and 7x All-NBA player, Steph Curry has earned the respect of everyone in the NBA community, from fans to former players.
That is also true for former Celtics sharpshooter Ray Allen, who recently gave a glowing review of the 33-year-old Akron native in a chat with Monte Poole of NBC Sports.

At one point, Allen was considered to be the greatest shooter in basketball. He hit nearly 3,000 three-pointers over his career, including one shot which may have saved the Heat from losing the 2013 Finals.
As great as Allen was, Curry has been even better over his career, and it is his play on offense that changed the league forever and helped the Warriors capture three Championships. In the meantime, he’s been smashing all kinds of records.
Currently, Curry is the second-leading three-point shooter in NBA history, with 2850. He surpassed Indiana Pacers legend, Reggie Miller, last season. But his target will be Ray Allen, who leads the NBA in all-time three-pointers made with 2973.
Interestingly enough, if Curry were to miss his next 500 three-point attempts, he would still have a better career three-point percentage than Ray Allen. Curry’s current percentage is 43.3% for his career, having made 2850 of 6585 attempted three-pointers.
This season could be another MVP campaign for Curry. With averages of 27.8 points, 6.6 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game on 45.2% shooting, he’s having one of his best stretches yet.
The Warriors are also thriving with a 1st place standing and 18-3 record in the West.
Clearly, both Curry and his squad have plenty of great days ahead of thems.
