Scottie Barnes isn’t a fan of Joel Embiid, or at least that’s what he showed during a recent NBA 2K stream. The Toronto Raptors young player has had some tense encounters with Embiid during his novel career and doesn’t want to see Embiid even in video games.

The Rookie of the Year award winner has been very active talking about the new installment of NBA 2K, giving his input on what the game is bringing for the 2023 edition. A couple of days ago, he gave his sincere opinion on the video game, calling it ‘solid’.

“It has flaws right now. In the Play Now, everybody’s shot was slow. I didn’t really like the shot meter that much. The defense is just like ’22 next gen. The movements are pretty solid. I feel like you can hit more contested shots. Like if it is a late closeout, it’s pretty solid.”

More recently, he threw shade at Joel Embiid after getting the player’s card on the MyTeam. Barnes is trying to emulate what Masai Ujiri has done with his Toronto Raptors by assembling the best possible team on the video game. However, he wasn’t happy when he received Joel Embiid and had a big reaction to a card that many other fans would be happy to get.

“Ah, sh*t. We selling his ass immediately,” Barnes said as soon as he saw he got Embiid.

The 20-year-old is ready to face another season in the NBA after securing the 2022 ROY award. He’s part of a team with huge aspirations for the future. He’ll have more duels with Joel Embiid in the future, as the Raptors and Sixers are lined up for successful seasons. We could see Barnes and Embiid going at it and perhaps engaging in heated moments on the court.
