Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen are arguably the greatest duo to ever step foot on an NBA court. They won six championships in six tries, and we’ve never seen a better defensive tandem.

Of course, today, Jordan and Pippen do not have a good relationship at all, ever seen Jordan’s Last Dance Documentary. Pippen didn’t agree with how the documentary portrayed him and has been taking shots at MJ ever since, including releasing his memoir about his career and playing with Jordan.

Still, you can’t take away the memories of those two stars playing together on the court. This includes what the two sometimes did before exhibition games.

Jordan And Pippen Drank Beer Before Exhibition Games

There have been stories told of Michael Jordan enjoying a beer and a cigar after games, which is understandable. But to drink before a game sounds a little crazy, even if it was just an exhibition game.

Still, according to Scottie Pippen, which he explained on The Dan LeBatard Show, sometimes he and Jordan would enjoy a cold one before an exhibition game.

“Do I ever drink on a game day? I’ve had a few drinks during the exhibition season,” Pippen explained. “You know, me and Michael, we tested the waters a few times when we had some exhibition games. We knew we weren’t playing too many minutes, so we may have a beer or two in the locker room before we go out.”

It may have only been exhibition games, but we are sure, even with drinking a beer or two before the games, that Jordan and Pippen still went out and dominated the competition. That’s what those two did, was go out, destroy their opponents, and win championships.

It didn’t matter if they were sober or not. Jordan and Pippen got the job done. There’s a reason why they are 6x NBA champions.
