Stephen A. Smith Says This Generation Of LeBron Fans Are Soft: “You Can Talk About LeBron Like He’s The No. 2 Of All-Time And Folks Close To Him Would Treat It Like You Said The Man Can’t Play.”

Nothing has restarted the GOAT debate more than “The Last Dance” documentary. With everyone being reminded first-hand at just how dominant Michael Jordan was, many are now convinced that he is the true GOAT.

Perhaps nobody is feeling the effects of the film more than LeBron James, whose campaign for being the greatest of All-Time has taken a hit. Needless to say, Bron’s biggest supporters are fighting back pretty aggressively — much to the frustration of Stephen A. Smith, who said on ESPN’s Get Up! that they overreact to those who rank Bron as less than the GOAT.

LeBron James has been closing the gap on Jordan these past few years. As a 16x All-Star, 15x All-NBA player, 6x All-Defensive Player, 4x MVP, and 3x Champion, his resume is already among the best the league has ever seen.

In some things, Bron has even surpassed Jordan. LeBron has more points, more Finals appearances, and more assists and rebounds. In the mind of his fans, why wouldn’t that be enough to grant him the title of GOAT?

Still, what is the defense of common sense to some might be seen as “soft” by others. No matter what else Bron does, Jordan may never come down from that unreachable pedestal. Clearly, fans will continue to fight on this topic forever, and Stephen A. may never get the peace he desires.
