Stephen A. Smith Flames The Bucks After Game 1: “They Looked Clueless…”

The Spun

The Milwaukee Bucks have overcome great odds to land in the 2021 NBA Finals.

But, now that they’re here, it seems they’ve got some work to do if they want to complete the task at hand.

After Game 1, in which they lost 118-105, Stephen A. Smith laid into them for being unprepared and “clueless” to start the series.

“It is mind-boggling to me how clueless the Bucks appeared to be! I don’t want to be insulting, but absolutely clueless the Milwaukee Bucks appeared last night in being prepared for this game.”

All-in-all, despite a 29-point effort from Khris Middleton, the Bucks could provide no answer to Devin Booker and Chris Paul, who combined to score 59 points on the night.

It was a true showing of strength and brilliance by Phoenix, who just seemed to be the better team on Tuesday night.

Going forward, the Bucks will have to adapt a better game plan if they want any hope of winning games in these Finals. As folks continue to count them out, the Bucks will have to prove they can make adjustments and answer to a brutal sucker punch by the Suns.

Considering where they are and who they’ve beaten, it’s too early to count them out. But Stephen A., and many others around the league, are starting to sound that alarm.
