Stephen A. Smith has Ime Udoka’s back after the latter was the main character in a series of reports claiming he has violated organizational guidelines of the Boston Celtics. After leading his Boston Celtics to the 2022 NBA Finals, Udoka earned a lot of respect around the NBA, but now he’s under fire for his behavior.

After reports suggested that he’s facing a big punishment by the Boston Celtics, everybody has had something to say. Fans trolled him for cheating on beautiful actress Nia Long, and more reports came, revealing more details about what’s next for the Celtics and Udoka, and more.

However, not many people came to his defense until controversial analyst Stephen A. Smith raised his voice and started blasting certain people in the league that do the same and don’t get the same treatment as Ime.

Stephen A. Smith Says White Coaches Do The Same As Ime Udoka And Don’t Get Suspended

During a recent edition of First Take, Smith went off on white NBA coaches who have this type of behavior and don’t get called out by anybody, let alone suspended like the Celtics are reportedly set to do with Udoka. Moreover, he blasted the Boston Celtics for leaking the information while keeping Udoka with them.

“I don’t like that being done to a brother because I got news for you, America, there’s plenty of white folks in professional sports that’s doing their thing, and I say that not complimentary, I don’t see the information out about them. Why are we talking about this guy? It ain’t none of our damn business. Unless you fire him, but if you keep him, it’s not our business. It should’ve never been put out there by the Celtics organization. And don’t tell me you didn’t do it, cause you absolutely did.”

While many people have blasted Ime Udoka for this, especially for cheating on Nia Long, others have pointed out that the double standard regarding this situation and others is too obvious not to notice it. For instance, NFL legend Brett Favre was caught stealing money from people and that news didn’t get as big as this one, which has raised many eyebrows not only in the NBA but in the rest of the major leagues in America.
