Stephen Curry: ‘Every One Of My Rings Came Against A Man They Consider The Greatest Ever. If I’m Overrated, What Does That Make Him?’

2 Min Read

Stephen Curry isn’t having a very good moment with the Golden State Warriors this season, struggling to find good results with the Dubs, earning a lot of criticism for his “lack of leadership”. Curry took this team to the promised land three times, two with Kevin Durant and one with the original Big 3 of Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

Now things are very different for him and his team. They can’t get things going and that is hurting their chances to compete. With a group of young players, without Klay and Draymond, Curry’s job has gotten a lot harder this campaign.

Curry has responded to those bad comments recently, firing back at the haters, bringing up the name of LeBron James to reply to those who are quick to criticize him for the Warriors’ slow start.

“I think it’s laughable that people want to invalidate my career after 5 mediocre games. Every one of my rings came against a man they consider the greatest ever. If I’m overrated, what does that make him?” Curry said.

Curry is obviously talking about LeBron James, whom he faced four times in the NBA Finals, winning three championships (2015, 2017 and 2018). The King couldn’t get the job done against Curry and the point guard had the same number of rings as him until October when he won his fourth NBA championship with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Most of the time, fans are quick to judge and hate on players like this time. Steph Curry is one of the most underappreciated players in the NBA right now without any reason. This has been common in recent years and even when he’s not in a superteam, fans are rooting against him.
