After winning the championship in 2021, the Golden State Warriors entered this season with the highest ambitions. Sadly, due to various factors, the Dubs struggled out of the gate and are still trying to find their way as the 6th seed in the West.
But with Andrew Wiggins on the cusp of a return to the court, and the Dubs starting to finally get their act together, Stephen Curry maintains confidence that the Dubs have enough to win another title, even with how deep the Western Conference has become.
“Absolutely. Like you said, this has been an interesting year,” Curry told Steiny and Guru on 95.7 The Game. “Some highs, a lot of lows, just trying to figure out who we are, what our identity is. We obviously have maintained confidence and faith that we can peak at the right time, and if we get into a playoff series with whoever that we’re tough to beat. Then it’s just about who can play and get four wins, then do it over again.”
Does Steph think the Warriors have a run in them?

As a 4x champion, Steph knows more than most what it takes to win in the NBA and if he still sees a path to ultimate victory, who are we to say otherwise?
The real uncertainty for Golden State comes in the future, as several of their core players (like Draymond and Klay) are starting to show their age.
How Long Can This Core Stay Together?
We have seen too much from the ‘big three’ to count them out of any playoff series, but they will not be together forever. At some point, they could go their separate ways and that moment could come sooner than you think.
For now, though, the team insists that they will ride or die with their group.
“This is not ‘The Last Dance,’” Kerr said, via The Athletic. “That was made clear in Chicago, that that was going to be it, Phil was done and everybody’s contracts were up. That was going to be it. That’s not the case here at all. I know that Joe (Lacob) would love to keep this thing going. He’s been incredible in his financial commitment to keep this team strong and relevant for a decade. He’s always committed to that. So I think there’s a really good possibility that we keep things going here.”
If everyone’s together and healthy, it could be years before the Warriors finally give up their seat as the NBA’s golden dynasty but there is no doubt that the players are going to do everything they can to maximize their remaining time together as teammates — however long it may be.
