Steve Kerr On Why He Sent Curry And Draymond In The 4th Quarter With The Warriors Up 19: “I Had Heard So Much From Our Fanbase The Last Couple Days, I Figured I Should Put Them Back In The Game To Keep Them Happy.”

Steve Kerr apparently has changed his mind on Stephen Curry’s minutes’ restriction after the Golden State Warriors lost to the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night. Curry missed a big part of the 4th quarter in the first game of the two the Warriors played against the Spurs, which raised some concerns from the fans and even the player, who made it clear he wasn’t that happy with the decision.

Kerr made it clear that Steph knows what the team is doing this season but not everybody is sold on that, which prompted the head coach to reinsert Curry and Draymond Green in the fourth quarter of Tuesday’s game to keep the fanbase “happy.” After the game was over, Kerr explained his decision:

“I had heard so much from our fanbase the last couple of days, I figured I should put them back in the game to keep them happy.”

This was curious knowing that the Dubs were winning the game by 19 points but Kerr is all about the fans and didn’t want to disappoint them more.

Curry finished the game with 32 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in 32 minutes while Draymond logged 6 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists in the Warriors’ 114-91 win over the Spurs. They bounced back and earned an important win, with Steph having a great night.
