Steve Kerr Says He’s Approaching Media Members Like Arya Stark From Game Of Thrones: “I Have All The Names Of The Media Members Who Picked Us To Be Outside The Playoffs, And I’m Just Checking Off The Box.”

The Golden State Warriors are on revenge mode this season. After two campaigns missing the playoffs, the Dubs are ready to return to the top of the league, recording big victories during the first 11 games of the campaign.

Even though their schedule has been relatively easy, the Dubs have taken every game seriously and now boast the league-best record with 10 wins and one loss. Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and co. are keen to prove doubters wrong, but their desire isn’t as intense as Steve Kerr’s.

The 3x NBA champion head coach channeled his inner Arya Stark and is looking for revenge against all the people that underestimated the Warriors before the start of the season. Talking with reporters ahead of tonight’s duel vs. Chicago Bulls, Kerr admitted he has a list with the names of media members that claimed the Warriors wouldn’t make it to the playoffs (6:00).

Kerr: I’m like Arya from Game of Thrones. Like I have all the names of the media members who picked us to be outside the playoffs and I’m just checking off the box. Every time I see one of those guys I just give them a little glare and they know what that means.

Reporter: But what face will you be wearing when we go? That’s what I wanna know.

Kerr: Nobody knows. The man with no name—they may know—but nobody else knows. I just to do that for a living a long time ago and it’s really hard to me, predictions and prognostications. I think as a coach, you feel a vibe in training camp, and you can tell what kind of team you are and where you are emotionally as a group. That really matters. Two years ago we were shattered, literally and figuratively. Even had Steph stayed healthy, there was a feeling in that training camp for me like, ‘this is gonna be a slump.’ This year what the exact opposite.

Kerr is confident in his team and we won’t disagree with him. The Warriors look very sharp right now, set to take over the league again. Stephen Curry is having terrific performances, leading this team to that impressive record.

Tonight, they’ll face the biggest challenge of the season so far, as the Chicago Bulls land in the Bay to snap the Dubs’ winning streak.
