Blocking a shot is one of the best things you can do as a basketball player. When you prevent a rival from getting buckets, that’s a pretty good sensation. Imagine if you do that at the highest level of all, in the NBA. That surely feels good for the blocker, but for the guy who got his shot blocked it’s not that good.
We tend to talk about the guys who blocked most shots since that is more impressive, but other players got blocked a lot, reaching numbers that nobody would’ve thought were real. Today, we’re going to see the 10 most blocked players in the history of the association.

It’s odd to see some big men on this list, especially Tim Duncan, who had one of the best and most effective signature moves in the league, the bank shot. Zach Randolph, Pau Gasol and Jermaine O’Neal are part of the club, too, despite being near the 7 feet. They still had time to get blocked over 1000 times.
We also have players like Carmelo Anthony, Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson or Paul Pierce, who took a lot of shots during their careers, being the focal point of their teams’ offenses. When you take that amount of shots, it’s completely understandable that you’ll get blocked, but these guys took things to a different level.
This is not a mark on their resumes, but it’s curious to see some of the best scorers in NBA history getting blocked that much.
