The Chicago Bulls Are 0-16 Against The Top 3 Seeds In The Eastern And Western Conference

2 Min Read

The Chicago Bulls have been one of the best stories in the entire NBA this season. The Bulls did a lot of work during the offseason, and assembled a great roster, signing DeMar DeRozan, Lonzo Ball, and Alex Caruso, pairing them up with the All-Star duo of Nikola Vucevic and Zach LaVine. The players gelled well together and the Bulls benefitted from it. But a closer look at their record shows some cause for concern.

The Chicago Bulls are currently 5th in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 42-30. They are on track to make the playoffs after a significant drought. But after their loss last night to the Milwaukee Bucks, as pointed out by Reddit user u/sidighjd, the Chicago Bulls are now 0-16 and winless against the top 3 seeds in both the Eastern And Western Conference.

Chicago Bulls Against Top 3 Seeds In The Eastern And Western Conference:

Eastern Conference:

1. Miami Heat: 0-3

2. Milwaukee Bucks: 0-3

3. Philadelphia 76ers: 0-4

Western Conference:

1. Phoenix Suns: 0-2

2. Memphis Grizzlies: 0-2

3. Golden State Warriors: 0-2

The Bulls have had a winning record for the first time in several years this season. And they have shown massive improvement this year, with DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine leading the pack as All-Stars. But their dismal record against the top 3 seeds in both conferences, essentially the best teams in the league, shows that there is still room for improvement with this current squad.

NBA fans recently suggested that the Bulls might disappoint in the playoffs. The Bulls will have a chance to get a win against Milwaukee and Miami, as they are scheduled to face both teams once more before the season ends. Winning those games could give them a big boost heading into the playoffs, and given the challenges they could face during the playoffs, they could use that boost in confidence.
