The Pelicans Destroyed The Nets In The First Quarter 3144-17

The New Orleans Pelicans put on a clinic against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday, during their first scrimmage game at the bubble. The Pels didn’t have Zion Williamson on the roster but that wasn’t an impediment for them to dominate the diminished Nets.

They played a really good game taking a big advantage over their rival early in the game. At some point, however, there was a mistake on the scoreboard that gave the Pelicans over 3000 points against 17 of the Nets.

At the 4-minute mark of the 1st quarter, the scoreboard read 3144-17 in favor of the Pelicans. Then it changed to 3172-31. Seeing the development of the game, that was the perfect way to explain it until the people in charge of the scoreboard changed the numbers. The first half finished 56-35 in favor of the Pels.

In the end, they won the game, demolishing the Nets 99-68. No Zion? No problem for the Pelicans.

Even though they didn’t score the 3172 points the scoreboard showed, they did a pretty good job in their first game back since March. This is one of the most exciting teams entering the resumption of the league and they already demonstrated why. Once Zion is back, be ready because the Pelicans are coming.
