The Return 2.0: NBA Fans Speculate LeBron James Could Return To The Cavaliers Amid Recent Rumors

NBA fans think LeBron might be coming home again after recent string of activity.

3 Min Read

LeBron James left his future in question during the post-game press conference following Game 4 of the Conference Finals.  At 38 years old, James continues to be among the best players in the game but he’s at a point now in his career where anything can happen.

This week, however, fans are taking their theories to another level amid all the noise becoming out of Cleveland. In the wake of Brian Windhorst’s cryptic report, and the news that Cleveland is looking for an upgrade at the forward position, some fans have theorized that maybe LeBron is gearing up for a return back home for the final stint of his career.

The Cavaliers were pretty good last season, securing the 4th seed in the East during their first season with Donovan Mitchell. Unfortunately, the Cavs were unable to capture that same magic in the playoffs, where they were quickly dismantled at the hands of the New York Knicks.

Wing players remain the Cavs’ biggest hole right now, and adding LeBron James to the mix would almost certainly push Cleveland into being favorites to come out of the East. Of course, this scenario is still a long shot considering what the Cavs would have to give up for a LeBron James deal.

Why Does LeBron’s Cleveland House Have Increased Security Presence?

While all signs point to James staying with the Lakers, it has been widely reported that his place in Cleveland has seen a lot of activity over the past few days. While we don’t know the exact details of what’s happening, it is fueling a lot of questions across the league.

For now, all we can do is wait for LeBron to announce his plans, and it shouldn’t be long now before we know what he decides to do. But Lakers fans shouldn’t panic just yet, as LeBron is also doing some renovations in his house in Los Angeles as well.

The truth is, until James announces his next move, the entire league will be watching to see which way he’s leaning.
