The Golden State Warriors have been one of the toughest opponents that LeBron James has faced in his career. This season, the King eliminated the Dubs in six games during the Western Conference Semifinals.

Now, with James hinting at his retirement this summer, many believe it may be a method by him to force a move out of the Los Angeles Lakers. If that’s the case, the Warriors with the fourth-best odds to land James this summer.

No team / retire: +500

If LeBron James indeed joins the Golden State Warriors this summer, it would fulfill fans’ dream of seeing him and Stephen Curry share the court together. They are arguably the two players of this generation, and it will be a treat to the eye to watch them play together.

On that note, NBA insider Kevin O’Connor recently suggested that LeBron James and Stephen Curry should join forces to win a ring together. O’Connor suggested because he believed the two superstars had already stopped each other from winning multiple rings, now would be a perfect time to win one together.

LeBron James Expressed His Desire To Play With Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry is undoubtedly LeBron James’ most fierce rival. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t respect Curry’s talents.

In fact, when LeBron was asked to name a player that he would like to play with in today’s NBA, he took Curry’s name.

“In today’s game, Steph Curry,” James said. “Steph Curry’s the one that I want to play with, for sure… I love everything about that guy. When he gets out of his car, you better guard him right from the moment he pulls up to the arena. As soon as he gets out of his car, you better guard his a**. You might wanna guard him when he gets out of bed. He’s serious.”

It must have been an honor for Stephen Curry to hear these words, but he hilariously rejected James’ proposal.

Will Curry change his mind about playing with James if he decides to leave the Lakers this summer? We will find out over the next few months.
