The Miami Heat took a 3-0 lead in the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals over the Boston Celtics. Since then, the Heat have failed to close out the series in three straight games, thus allowing the Celtics to force a Game 7.

Derrick White was the hero for the Celtics during Game 6 after hitting a last-second game-winning shot to win the matchup for the team. Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young reacted to the unbelievable shot and believes the series is now over for the Heat.

“Boston gonna beat Miami now. It’s over!”

Prior to the buzzer-beater by White, Jimmy Butler swished three straight free throws to give the Heat a 103-102 lead. But the organization certainly didn’t predict that the Celtics would make a last-second shot to win the game 104-103.

Although the events that led to White’s game-winner were controversial, the fact of the matter is that the series is now tied 3-3. Game 7 will be played in Boston, and it will be an uphill battle for the Heat to clinch the series.

Jimmy Butler Once Again Guaranteed A Win For The Miami Heat

Since losing Game 4, Jimmy Butler has guaranteed a win for the Miami Heat in every game. Butler has been proven wrong by the Boston Celtics each time.

Either way, that didn’t stop the 33-year-old from once again guaranteeing a win for the Heat in the ever-so-important Game 7 of the series.

“We’re gonna do it as a unit every single time,” Butler said. “We’re gonna be in this thing together, I know that for a fact. … We’re gonna go in there, and we’re gonna win.”

Butler is the leader of the Heat, so it’s great to see him having complete confidence in the team.

But the odds are now stacked against Butler and co. After all, they are still the eighth seed in the East, and the Celtics are undoubtedly the better team. The Celtics have played like that in the last three games and will enter Game 7 as the favorites to advance to the 2023 NBA Finals.
