Trae Young is one of the league’s brightest young talents, and there is no doubt that he is a superstar-caliber player on the offensive side of the ball. However, many have criticized his overall playstyle as Trae Young is someone who is consistently talking to the referees and knows how to draw fouls.

Recently, we saw Trae Young get ejected from the Atlanta Hawks game against the Indiana Pacers for throwing the ball at the referee and getting a technical foul. The Hawks still ended up winning, and after the game, Young seemed to throw some shade at the referees.

It is clear that Trae Young is happy that the team managed to win despite his ejection. He is also unhappy with the officiating during the recent game, but at this point, it is best to move on and focus on the team’s next matchup.

Currently, Trae Young is averaging 26.6 PPG, 3.1 RPG, and 10.0 APG for the Atlanta Hawks. Though the Pacers won this game, Trae Young should try to hold back his frustrations in the future, to avoid another situation where the team is forced to be without him.

Trae Young Could Leave The Atlanta Hawks This Summer

Even though Trae Young is the current face of the Atlanta Hawks, there are some who believe that Trae Young could end up leaving the Atlanta Hawks at the end of the season.

“I think Trae will want out after the season,” one NBA source said. “The Hawks probably try to get out of John Collins and others by the deadline, but Trae’s a long shot. Maybe the [Lakers] in July with his ties to Klutch [Sports].”

The Atlanta Hawks have tried to surround Trae Young with a competitive roster, but unfortunately, the team has only been a play-in tier team this season. They have a number of talented players, but it is clear that they simply haven’t figured out how to win at a high level yet.

It will be interesting to see if Trae Young will end up requesting a trade in the future. Though other teams could offer a higher chance of competing for a championship, there are some positives to being the sole face of a franchise. Hopefully, we see Trae Young remain with the Atlanta Hawks and lead them to be one of the best teams in the league next season.
