While Curry and the Dubs did miss the playoffs in 2020 and 2021, their incredible return in the post-season has only increased the Warriors’ immense popularity among NBA fans worldwide. 

Given that the league has truly become a global phenomenon with multiple international players in its ranks, it is unsurprising to see the likes of Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors are household names.

Not only is the 4-time champion making a name for himself in the association, but it also seems like the 34-year-old is inspiring many young kids around the world. One such example is a Chinese kid who has become a viral sensation in the NBA community right now.

Recently a clip of a Chinese baller has been doing the rounds on social media. Be it pulling up from the deep, showcasing incredible ball handling skills, or his all-around offensive skills, including a smooth layup, the ‘Chinese Stephen Curry’ has rightfully become an instant sensation.

It is certainly promising to see a young ‘Stephen Curry’ in China. Although the number of international players is on the rise, Asia has yet to see many players play in the best basketball league in the world. But given that we are seeing kids like the one in the viral clip, signs for Asian basketball are promising.

Meanwhile, Curry has impacted the game in his own way. In a league that is seeing bigger and bigger guards, it is players like Curry who have reassured NBA fans that size does not always mean quality, and rather anyone with enough perseverance and talent can make waves in the NBA.
