Jordan Poole deftly avoided a question about Draymond Green in a media interaction recently.

When the newly-minted Washington Wizards guard was asked if he had heard from Green after he was traded, Poole refused to answer. You can have a look at the clip below:

It is definitely hard to blame Poole for feeling the way he is at the time of writing. The dust-up between him and Green is widely regarded as one of the reasons behind the team’s failure to defend their title this season.

Earlier, he diverted another question about the veteran forward and channeled his attention toward his tenure in DC instead.

“We’re in Washington now,” Poole said. “Playing with [Kyle Kuzma], great duo. Being able to really flourish, expand your game and help a new team. Help lead an entire group of guys, it’s a challenge that we’re up for… everybody’s locked in, wants to be here, start something that we can have that can be special.”

Now, it remains to be seen if he and Kuzma can create the magic they have been talking about. Safe to say, Wizards vs. Warriors will be one riveting contest.

US Vice President Kamala Harris Welcomes Jordan Poole To DC

Kamala Harris appears to be happy to have Jordan Poole in the DC ranks as she took to Twitter to welcome the young guard.

“#DubNation will miss you, Jordan, but welcome to Washington, D.C.”

The focus will be on Poole and he will shepherd a young unit alongside Kuzma. This past season, he averaged 20.4 points, 4.5 assists, and 2.7 rebounds last season, and with a more important role in his new team, his numbers are surely rocket.

Maybe a stint or two with the Wizards was just what the doctor ordered.
