There have been many great, great shooters throughout NBA history. Guys like Larry Bird, Reggie Miller, Ray Allen, James Harden are just some of the names who deserve recognition for their ability to nail shots from beyond the arc.

Despite his recent struggle with the injury bug, we shouldn’t forget that Klay Thompson, just like his teammate Steph, belongs among those names as well.

With the star guard set to return to the court this upcoming season, we’ll soon be reminded of his expertise from beyond the arc.

For now, we have Moses Moody here to hype him up

In a radio interview on the Bay Area’s 95.7 The Game, he revealed what runs through his mind when he sees Thompson start nailing jumpers.

“I got some work to do,” Moody said.

This actually isn’t the first time that Moody has raved about Thompson’s shooting ability. Last month, he detailed what it was like watching him on the court for the first time:

“Man, it looks different in person, that was obviously my first time seeing it. But watching that repetition, that exact same shot every one, I mean I sat there and watched him shoot for 20 minutes, and it didn’t touch the rim a lot, I can tell you that.”

Klay has an immaculate shooting form that stays amazingly consistent throughout the course of a game.

And while he might not have the same ball-handling skills as Steph Curry, the guy is dangerous when he gets hot, as we’ve seen countless times before.

This upcoming season might be Thompson’s biggest challenge yet. After coming back from two major injuries to a Golden State team that looks very different from the last time he was on the court, he’ll have a lot of adjusting to do over the next few months. It may take time for him to return to form.

Still, Dun Nation is no doubt counting down the days until he and Steph can play together again.
