The Golden State Warriors took a tough loss to the Los Angeles Clippers in a feisty game that saw Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue get ejected from the game. Draymond Green was trying to make an impact on the game and got knocked to the ground after a rebound attempt. Green lay in one spot, writhing in pain, as the players continued playing around him.
None of the Warriors rushed to help him up and the referees seemed to ignore it as well. Even Steve Kerr didn’t call a timeout after a Warriors bucket in that sequence. Green just eventually got up and finished the game, making fans believe he was possibly overselling the contact. He went to the locker room but returned to the game.

The Warriors blew a fourth-quarter lead to let the Clippers come back in a game where they were without Kawhi Leonard and saw Paul George foul out with over three minutes left. Draymond had a strong outing, putting up nine points and 10 rebounds.
Green was seen angrily glaring at the Clippers after a spat caused by a hard foul from Mason Plumlee on Brandin Podziemski. It was clear he was playing the game on edge and had to be left displeased with the result.
Draymond Green Back To Instigating Opponents
Draymond plays a crucial role for the Warriors as their defensive anchor and the one player who’ll do everything to get under the opponents’ skin. Most teams hate going up against players like these, but there is a reason the Warriors allow Draymond to get away with his antics. He usually has the team’s best interests in mind, but interactions with Rudy Gobert and Jusuf Nurkic earlier this season got him suspended for poor behavior.
Despite serving an 11-game suspension after the Nurkic incident, he and the Bosnian center shared harsh words after their recent matchup which Golden State won. Nurkic expressed in a bombastic post-game interview that Draymond hadn’t learned anything from his suspension, which prompted Green to issue a brutal clapback on his podcast.
“The little guy goes to the media and says, ‘I take my words back; he doesn’t deserve another chance. It’s only a matter of time before you hit someone else, and quite frankly, I want to know, why is it only a matter of time before I hit someone else? Because I destroyed him? Because what in that game that happened with me would make you say something like that… other than getting embarrassed because you’re just not good enough? You’re not good enough offensively, you got Steph Curry on post-ups and you got nothing… but this is the same guy who laid out on the floor when I made contact. Bro, you 300 pounds, get up off the floor bro. if he doesn’t lay out on the floor like that, I don’t think I get the suspension that I got.”
Green later also attacked former teammate Kevin Durant. He was even taunting Paul George with a four-ring gesture during the Clippers game. Draymond knows what he provides to the Warriors and won’t back down from it.
He’s averaging 9.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 6.1 assists this season, with his defensive contribution helping the team on their recent five-game win streak which ended last night with a loss to the Clippers.
