The Chicago Bulls are ready to run it back next season, as Zach LaVine has confirmed his commitment to the team after agreeing to a huge deal. In recent weeks, the star shooting guard sparked rumors about an exit from the Bulls by saying that he would explore options before making up his mind.

The Los Angeles Lakers were linked with a move for LaVine, as impossible as that sounded, especially after the All-Star revealed that he grew up supporting the Purple and Gold. Many believed he was out of Chicago as the free agency came close, but now things are defined, and LaVine is staying at United Center.

Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that LaVine is signing a five-year deal worth $215.2 million that will keep him attached to the Bulls until 2027.

NBA All-Star Zach LaVine has agreed to a five-year, $215.2 million maximum contract to return to the Chicago Bulls, with a player option in Year 5, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul told The Athletic, Stadium.

The Chicago Bulls made some good moves last season, landing DeMar DeRozan, Lonzo Ball, and Alex Caruso. They ended up being one of the best teams in the East during the regular season, but the Milwaukee Bucks beat them in the first round of the playoffs.

They aren’t done and will try to improve that next season with their core ready to go deeper and make some noise in the Eastern Conference. Re-signing LaVine is huge for them, and now it’s time to prove what they’re capable of and make a splash next year.
