A lot was expected from LeBron James when he entered the NBA, and he has somehow surpassed even the loftiest expectations that were placed on him.

James has had a phenomenal career which has led to his name being included in the GOAT debate, and there are quite a few who believe he is indeed the greatest ever.

Isiah Thomas crowned LeBron as the GOAT after he won his 4th title by beating the Miami Heat, stating that he is the best and most complete player he had ever seen.

Jason Kidd, who has now played and coached against James, said that he will go down as the best to ever do it.

Draymond Green, meanwhile, called LeBron arguably the greatest player of all time, adding that his resume is flawless.

His teammate Anthony Davis echoed Thomas’ sentiments after LeBron won that 4th title as he simply said Greatest Of All Time when James accepted his Finals MVP trophy.

Paul Pierce had many battles with LeBron over the years, and he had always resisted giving his great rival his flowers. Even Pierce conceded after James broke the scoring record, though, that he is indeed the greatest.

Pierce wasn’t the only one to crown LeBron as the GOAT after he became the all-time leading scorer, with Ja Morant also hopping aboard that train.

Trae Young, meanwhile, had LeBron as the greatest even before all of this, ahead of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant

Gilbert Arenas had an interesting take on why LeBron is better than MJ and Kobe, as he said that those two wouldn’t have made the playoffs with the Cavaliers teams that James was on.

Jaylen Brown was another one of the current players to bestow that title of GOAT on LeBron after he broke the scoring record. Brown also got to witness James’ greatness first-hand as he eliminated the Celtics in back-to-back Eastern Conference Finals in 2017 and 2018.

Former “Bad Boy” Piston Bill Laimbeer, meanwhile, firmly believes that LeBron is the greatest, and he claimed that James would dominate in any era of basketball.

There are many more who have anointed James as the greatest ever, and you can check all of them out on HoopsHype.

LeBron James Also Believes That He Is Indeed The GOAT

As for what the man himself thinks, James stated after breaking the scoring record that he would take himself over anybody in the history of the game. He added that he always feels like he is the best to ever play this game, and you certainly cannot blame him for thinking like that.

He clearly has a strong case to be the GOAT, but at the end of the day, there is no right or wrong answer here. It is totally subjective, and everyone has their own preference, which is why the debates will rage on till the end of time.
