Paul George Sends Big Message To His Haters: “I’m Coming Back With Vengeance… People Saw Weakness. I Had To Address That.”

2 Min Read

Just a couple of years ago, Paul George was considered a superstar and one of the best two-way players in the world. Now, after his terrible play and antics in the bubble in Orlando, it seems like his reputation has taken a massive hit both around fans and players.

That’s why the Los Angeles Clippers star took the shortened offseason to do a lot of soul-searching, get healthy and is now determined to prove that he’s still an elite player capable of leading a team in the playoffs.

George has looked quite motivated since the start of the season and recently revealed his mindset for the season, claiming that he’s ready to get back at those who mocked him and prove that he’s not weak at all:

“After (last season), it was the only way I could respond. I immediately went straight to a dark place of where I had nothing but to get better… I’m coming back with vengeance… people saw weakness. I had to address that,” George said, as quoted by ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk.

And, so far, he’s made sure to address that. Thus far, the former Most Improved Player is posting averages of 25.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.3 steals, and 4.3 three-pointers per game on 50.3/51.5/91.8 shooting splits.

PG-13 has a history of underperforming in the playoff, especially in elimination games. That’s why, even though he’s dominating in the regular season, his haters will still want to wait until the most important time of the year before changing their stance on him.
