Evan Fournier Takes A Jab At Floppers With New Foul Rules: “Coming From Europe We Have Guys That Aren’t As Physical, Aren’t As Athletic, And Yet The Game Is More Physical There.”

The new foul rules have become a big issue for some players who took advantage of the old regulation. Players like James Harden, Trae Young and more have struggled to get the calls they used to get, which has resulted in joy for their defenders.

The list of people congratulating the league for these changes is way bigger than the folks criticizing the new rules. Draymond Green, Stephen Curry, and more players have shown excitement with the new rules, explaining that they’re better for defenders and fans, who can watch a more fluid game without unnecessary calls.

Moreover, New York Knicks guard Evan Fournier is thrilled with these changes. Talking about the new rules, the Frenchman took a jab at floppers, saying they have prevented the league from having a more physical game, contrary to European basketball.

“Yeah. F— yeah,” Fournier said on Saturday, via the New York Post.

“It was actually very frustrating for me,” he lamented. “For years — I don’t like to compare anything — but coming from Europe we have guys that aren’t as physical, aren’t as athletic, and yet the game is more physical there.”

He even revealed he had to adapt his game to the league after earning a lot of calls, thanks to the old rules.

“So as a rookie, I kept fouling and fouling and fouling. And I was like, ‘What the hell?’ I’m skinny. I’m not strong. So I think the league did a great job, and we have to adapt and adjust. I think as a fan, it’s better. You don’t want to see guys just trying to trick referees all the time. … I like it, 100 percent.”

Evan isn’t shy when he voices his opinions. He doesn’t care who can feel offended by his comments. This man has starred in controversies with Kevin Durant, even taking shots at the Brooklyn Nets player in the past.

He won’t change his personality and now that he can defend like he was used to, his opponents could feel more frustrated with him.

Meanwhile, the former Orlando Magic, Boston Celtics player is trying to help the Knicks compete in the stacked Eastern Conference and get his food properly delivered when he’s on the road. This has become an important issue for the French player recently.

Like the rest of the league, Fournier is happy with the new rules, and we can’t blame him.
