  • Shaquille O’Neal spoke about an encounter with a big horse that almost got him killed
  • Shaquille O’Neal also revealed why he cannot scuba dive or skydive
  • The Los Angeles Lakers legend is 7’1″ and 320 lbs, which plays a part in both stories

Shaquille O’Neal built a dominant NBA career thanks to his size. The Los Angeles Lakers legend is 7’1″ and has been between 250 and 320 lbs in his adult life, making him one of the biggest human beings in the world.

Shaquille O’Neal may have earned $292 million in the NBA thanks to his size. But it precludes him from doing some other things. He spoke to Bobbi Althoff about the time he tried to ride a horse, for example.

“Yeah, [I have ridden a horse]. He tried to kill me. It was a 22-hand Percheron. Big horse. But what I didn’t know is he was a carriage horse.

“And then, when I tried to get on him, he tried to ‘Bronco Billy’ me… He was a carriage horse, and then another guy owned him, and I bought him from the guy.”

Shaquille O’Neal riding a horse is a mental image that’s hard to shake, and it makes sense that it didn’t work out. It’s interesting to note that it wasn’t a size issue though, and simply had more to do with the horse not being meant to be ridden directly.

Shaquille O’Neal Broke Down The Reason He Can’t Scuba Dive Or Skydive

Shaquille O’Neal lives an exciting life. He goes from closing multimillion-dollar deals in his spare time to DJ’ing parties seemingly overnight. But there are some adventure sports he can’t get involved in.

Shaquille O’Neal revealed in the same interview why he can’t do those activities, saying, “Skydive, scuba dive… I am too heavy because when you scuba dive they give you weights and then when I went down I hit the button, but I never came back up. Almost drowned.”

The height of the average human male is about 5’5″, so it makes sense that Shaquille O’Neal isn’t able to do a lot of things that are designed for the masses.

Shaquille O’Neal can do many things that other people can’t, being worth $400 million opens up all kinds of doors. However, if it’s scuba diving or skydiving, then many other people can do something that O’Neal cannot.

Shaquille O’Neal’s Podcast With Bobbi Althoff Is Going Viral

Bobbi Althoff has burst onto the interview scene with some big names like Lil Yachty and Drake, and Shaquille O’Neal is the first major NBA guest on her podcast. Shaquille O’Neal’s clip talking about being the Love Doctor in a clip went viral on social media.

“I’m not a medical doctor,” said O’Neal. “But I do have a minor in psychology and I also coulda been a professor but I don’t want to be…”

He went on to reveal that people come to him with their problems, saying, “They don’t pay me because if they pay me it would be illegal, so I guess it’s free.”

After the entire interview drops, there will surely be more stories from the legendary life Shaquille O’Neal has led. But these tidbits are a fun beginning, there never is a dull moment when Shaquille O’Neal is in front of the camera.
