• Basketball highlights can be fantastic to watch when the players are amazing

• Kevin Hart’s basketball highlights weren’t pleasing to watch for the comedian

• He joked and laughed at how he was playing, admitting the mistakes he was making on the court

Kevin Hart is a comedian and basketball superfan who tried playing the sport at the high school level. Unfortunately, Hart couldn’t overcome his 5’2″ height to pursue it realistically. ESPN showed him a highlight reel of him in high school, and even the comedian couldn’t stop cracking up at how he was playing.

“That’s a turnover. Oh, I blocked it! So, that’s a turnover and a block. And I’m out of the game. Jesus… These basketball highlights are horrible! I think I got like eight turnovers right now.”

The shortest player in NBA history was the 5’3″ Muggsy Bogues, so it’s fair to say that a career in the pro leagues would’ve been beyond his reach even if he was a wizard with the ball. We all should keep playing the game we love without being afraid of making mistakes on the court, as displayed by Hart appreciating his old highlights enough to laugh at them.

Kevin Hart Is A Philadelphia 76ers Fan

Hart grew up in Philadelphia and lived in the city until moving to New York to pursue his comedic dreams. He still loves his city’s sports teams, including the 76ers. He even hit out at Jayson Tatum after his masterful Game 7 performance in the 2023 Playoffs saw the Celtics eliminate the 76ers.

Hart has tried to use his fandom to even recruit stars. This goes back to Hart using his friendship with LeBron James to jokingly offer him $40 to sign with the 76ers in 2018. James wasn’t a big fan of the idea, telling Hart to ‘kiss his as*’ before signing with the Lakers that summer.

LeBron James And Kevin Hart’s Strong Relationship

LeBron James and Kevin Hart are very good friends, with their relationship stretching back over a decade. They were supposed to star in a basketball comedy film produced by Universal Pictures called ‘Ballers’ in 2013. In the movie, Hart was going to play LeBron’s younger brother as the 6’8″ James and the 5’2″ Hart pursued their basketball dreams. The film never ended up being released.

Hart often makes fun of LeBron, with the Lakers’ superstar never taking it in a bad way. The comedian mocked James’ hairline recently and had the internet in stitches. He’s not afraid to admit his mistakes, like the time he told LeBron that Ben Simmons was better than him.

Outside of Simmons, Hart also openly admitted that Michael Jordan is better than LeBron James. The truth is the truth and Hart has never been afraid to share that with LeBron. Sometimes, he can be wrong, like when it’s Ben Simmons. But it seems LeBron still needs to achieve more to live up to Jordan.
