A recent report from Andrew Marchand of The New York Post revealed that Shannon Sharpe will be joining Stephen A. Smith on First Take, and the duo will debate on Mondays and Tuesdays during the NFL season.
“Shannon Sharpe will square off against Stephen A. Smith on Mondays and Tuesdays on the ESPN debate program during football season, The Post has learned.”
There is no doubt that this is a good partnership. Both Stephen A. Smith and Shannon Sharpe are amazing personalities, and watching them talk about sports is likely to bring a lot of fans to the show. Previously, Stephen A. Smith publically stated that he wants Shannon Sharpe on First Take, and it seems as though the analyst will get his wish.
Of course, no partnership will quite be the same as Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless. However, Sharpe and Smith pairing together can be great in its own way, and we’ll see how the duo does in the future.
Shannon Sharpe And Skip Bayless Weren’t Close
Even though the two had great chemistry on Undisputed, it seems as though their working relationship did not expand into friendship. Once, Shannon Sharpe revealed that he and Skip Bayless are not close.
