The Los Angeles Lakers will have a very stressful Thursday before facing the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 at home on Friday.
Anthony Davis was forced to exit Game 5 with a suspected concussion after taking a hit from Kevon Looney. With concerns around his status for Game 6, LeBron James said all that matters is that AD is feeling better.
“I didn’t see the (elbow from Looney), I just saw the aftermath. The medical team said he’s doing better, so that’s what matters the most.”

A possible injury to Davis could sink the Lakers’ chances of winning this series. Though Darvin Ham and people on the team are optimistic about AD being healthy for game 6, this will be a developing situation until a final confirmation from the Lakers itself.
Golden State Warriors Looking Dangerous
Game 5 was a statement win for the Warriors, as they demolished the Lakers’ defense to save their season. Every time LA went on a run, someone from the Warriors hit a big shot to keep the lead in the double digits. Stephen Curry led them in scoring with 27 points, but 25 points from Andrew Wiggins and a 20-point double-double from Draymond Green gave them a massive boost.
LeBron James also tweaked his foot during the game and looked noticeably disengaged toward the end of the game. Given he’s already playing through a foot injury, fans will carefully evaluate that situation as well. The battered Lakers will have to fight back in Game 6 to finish this series at home and avoid the risk of playing a Game 7 at the Chase Center.
