Jimmy Butler just had one of the greatest individual performances in playoff history. Butler just scored 56 points to lead the Miami Heat to a stunning win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

This 114-119 win for Miami means the Heat are one win away from a historic 1-8 upset, and fans are rife with anticipation.

Joel Embiid was quick to show love to his former teammate.

Former NBA front office executive Haralabos Voulgaris called Butler the definition of a 16-game player.

Butler did everything he could in this win, and fans were appreciative of the performance.

Fans are already talking about Butler like he may be one of the greatest players of his generation.

The consistency with which Jimmy elevates his game in the playoffs should make his status as a playoff performer undisputed.

Butler is often doubted by fans and media for not performing well during the regular season, but playoff basketball is all that he needs to prove his value in this league.

The jokes about the Bucks losing also were flying.

Jimmy Butler became the 29th player in NBA history to score 50 points or more in the playoffs and is the first 50-point game since Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s title-winning 50-piece in Game 6 of the 2021 Finals. Butler has been known as a playoff riser his entire career, and this performance solidifies that reputation.

Are The Milwaukee Bucks Losing In The First Round?

Falling down 3-1 to a team that came from the second play-in game is the absolute worst-case scenario for a franchise like the Bucks. They’ve had a great year despite injuries across the roster slowing them down. It just hasn’t clicked in the playoffs, with Giannis dealing with injuries and not looking like his dominant self. The Bucks blew a double-digit lead in the fourth and will now see their season end in a dumpster fire.

Dependent on Giannis’ health, the Bucks could still come back. We have seen 3-1 comebacks in this sport before, and the Bucks definitely are the better roster on paper. If they want to salvage their season, Giannis needs to lead this team to victory in Games 5, 6, and, hopefully, 7. Otherwise, this may become the single-biggest failure in Giannis’ post-season career.
