Kyle Kuzma may play for the Washington Wizards right now, but he still has respect and admiration for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Kuz was part of the Lakers’ 2020 NBA Championship team. The 27-year-old reacted to the Purple and Gold’s recent play-in tournament game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
“My hot take.. (but not really) I think the Lakeshow can get to the finals.”

Kyle Kuzma believes that the Los Angeles Lakers have the potential to represent the Western Conference in the 2023 NBA Finals.
Kuz subtly mentioned that it might look like a hot take to most fans, but he personally believes it is not a hot take.
Do The Los Angeles Lakers Have What It Takes To Play In The NBA Finals?
The Los Angeles Lakers have finally clinched a permanent spot in the playoffs following their close win against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
But does that mean the Lakers have already fulfilled their goals for the season? Absolutely not. While Kuzma may believe that the Lakers have what it takes to advance to the NBA Finals, former league superstar and current analyst Charles Barkley has a different assessment of the Purple and Gold.
“This is a perfect example right here,” Barkley said. “They think they are better than they are. This ain’t the Bubble, dude.”
Barkley believes that the Lakers think they are one of the top teams in the NBA. However, considering they barely defeated the Timberwolves in overtime, it’s not a good sign for them.
Chuck also called out the Lakers’ 2020 NBA Championship run that took place in the Orlando Bubble. Sure, the Lakers won the NBA title that season, but most believe it should have an asterisk due to the playoffs being held without fans.
Well, it’s up to the Lakers to prove Kuzma right and Barkley wrong. Their journey will start against the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs.
