Trae Young is one of the best offensive players in the NBA. But is he a better playmaker than Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry?

John Collins recently claimed that his teammate is indeed better at playmaking and isolation scoring than Curry. It is indeed a huge claim by Collins, as Steph is one of the best players of this generation.

Upon seeing this on Twitter, NBA fans were quick to slam Collins for his comments about Young and Curry.

A fan said that any slander regarding Curry would not be tolerated at all.

Another fan trolled Collins by saying he doesn’t have the same number of friends as Curry has rings.

But there were some fans who defended Collins.

One fan shared a hilarious meme urging Jesus to come to Twitter.

Stephen Curry is widely regarded as the best point guard of this generation. But there is a genuine debate about whether Curry’s playmaking skills are as good as the rest of the weapons in his arsenal.

Looking purely at stats, Curry averages 6.3 APG for his career. Although Young has spent just five seasons in the league, he has averaged 9.3 APG. If Young can continue producing these numbers consistently over his career, he may surpass Curry, at least as the better playmaker.

Trae Young Is A Fan Of Stephen Curry

Trae Young and Stephen may be rivals in the NBA right now. But that doesn’t mean the former doesn’t have respect for the latter’s game.

In fact, Young once admitted that he has been a Stephen Curry fan since he was a kid, and even after playing against him, those feelings have not changed.

“Yeah, I mean, it was just as fine as when he won his first one by himself with KT, and I was in middle school and high school back then, so I remember being a kid watching him back then, and just being a fan then, and now,” Young said. “I mean, being in the league, going against him, I think our games are different, but they’re similar in certain areas, and I definitely want to be a champion, so he’s set the standard.”

It’s great to see young stars praising some of the older superstars in the NBA. While Young has somewhat based his game on watching Curry play over the years, he can only get closer to his level by winning at least a couple of NBA titles in his career.
