The Los Angeles Lakers are a team that is currently out of the playoffs, as they are the 13th seed in the Western Conference. Despite that, a lot of people and analysts have high hopes for the team because they have two elite superstars on the roster in LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Recently, LeBron James himself delivered a bold take on the Los Angeles Lakers. He claimed that the team could potentially win a championship this season if they are completely healthy.

I believe so… since we won the championship health has been on the wrong side of our franchise. I’m looking at the landscape of the league… some great teams, some great players… But I also feel confident in our ballclub and our personnel… if we can be healthy, get enough under games, get some momentum, we get some chemistry… but if we can be healthy down the later stretch of the season we’ll give ourselves a good chance.

This is definitely an interesting take, and most people wouldn’t have LeBron James winning the championship this season. However, unpredictable things happen in the league frequently, and perhaps there is a timeline where LeBron James and the Lakers end up winning a championship based on their experience in the playoffs. The Lakers with LeBron James shouldn’t be counted out based on their talent level alone.

The Los Angeles Lakers Are Still Trying To Make Win-Now Moves

Even though the Kyrie Irving move obviously didn’t happen, the Los Angeles Lakers are still trying to make some win-now moves. A recent report revealed that the team is still confident about its ability to upgrade the roster and make the right moves to win a championship.

Despite missing out on Kyrie Irving, Lakers still optimistic they can upgrade roster before trade deadline. The three challenges. Is another star available? The Lakers don’t have many assets. Despite willing to trade picks or young players, they haven’t been willing to do both

It remains to be seen if a team will end up sending one of their stars to the Lakers in the future. The Lakers’ two future first-round picks are extremely valuable since they are likely to fall in the lottery, and perhaps that will be enough to land a complementary star for LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

If they don’t move for a star, there are also some teams that would likely be willing to make smaller deals with the Los Angeles Lakers. What’s clear is that the team has a number of options, and we’ll see what happens in the future.
