LeBron James Says He Could Make “Immediate Impact” On The Current Heat And Warriors Teams

LeBron James continues to make waves in his extended offseason. The King has been making the headlines for all the right reasons, and he recently became a billionaire as well. However, he has been expressing his frustration with missing the playoffs after the Los Angeles Lakers endured a disappointing campaign that saw them miss out on a spot even in the play-in tournament.

In the recent episode of “The Shop”, LeBron again spoke about how much it hurts him to not be playing playoff basketball right now, but he can’t stop himself from watching the action. James even mentioned how he’d wake up at 3:00 AM in the Maldives just to watch the playoffs. When Maverick Carter asked him which of the playoff teams he’d want to play for, the King had an interesting response.

(starts at the 23:55 mark)

“The team I would love to play for is not in the playoffs, which is the Lakers. But if it was one team that I know I could make an immediate impact in the post-season, and we could be very special, it’d either be Miami or Golden State.”

We’d say the Miami Heat and the Golden State Warriors would agree with that sentiment. LeBron has previously stated he’d love to play with Steph Curry, so it’s not a surprise to see him pick the Warriors here. It’d be terrifying to deal with a team with those two on it, too, and the Warriors sure could use LeBron against the Boston Celtics in the Finals.

The Heat would have loved to have him against the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals, too, after they took Boston to a Game 7. LeBron on either of those two teams wins a championship in all likelihood, and we can only hope that the Lakers put a competent roster around him next season so that we can enjoy watching him in the playoffs once again.

His passion for the sport was ignited after witnessing the high-octane offense of the Steve Nash-led Phoenix Suns. Among the Suns, Shawn Marion stood out to Gautam as an all-time underrated NBA player. Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
