The Boston Celtics have finally gotten over the hump of failing to reach the NBA Finals in recent years. Prior to the 2022 Playoffs, the Celtics reached the Conference Finals three times.
Unfortunately, they were always unable to win their conference. Well, that was the case until this season. In an amazing series against the Miami Heat, the relatively young core of the franchise proved that they are ready to take the next step. Which in this case means facing off with the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals.
But do the Celtics have what it takes to win a ring? To be honest, they might not be the favorites to stand a chance against the Warriors, but they certainly have the talent to do so.
Moreover, winning against a team of the Warriors’ caliber requires a lot of confidence along with great basketball skills. Speaking of confidence, a video of Jaylen Brown from the 2016 NBA Finals recently resurfaced online.
In the video, Brown wasn’t even drafted into the league. The then 19-year-old expressed his praise for the Warriors players. Additionally, he claimed that he will reach this stage one day:
"I wanna be in the same situation as these guys… I will be here."

“I wanna be in the same situation as these guys… I will be here.”
The video is certainly very inspirational as he fulfilled his dream of reaching the biggest stage in the NBA. He couldn’t have done this without the amazing support of his teammates.
It was evident from the message that Jayson Tatum said to Brown. Tatum mocked everyone who claimed the two couldn’t play together and believed they would never make the finals.
Brown and Tatum indeed proved their haters wrong and now have a shot at winning the 2022 NBA Championships. Looking at how well they have played together and their style of basketball, they might give the Dubs a tough time in the final stage of the season.
