Bryce James has already made quite a name for himself in the basketball world, as he continues on in his journey to one day make it to the NBA. Aged just 15, he stands at 6’6” and his skills, combined with his freakish athleticism, have made him a very intriguing prospect.

As he continues to shine, there is growing interest among colleges to one day have him on board, and Bryce recently received his first D-1 scholarship offer from the Duquesne Dukes!

While it might appear a bit random for Duquesne to offer Bronny this scholarship, they actually have a connection with the James family in their head coach, Keith Dambrot. Dambrot coached LeBron James at St. Vincent-St. Mary, for the King’s first two seasons in high school and they won two consecutive state championships together.

Whether that connection would be enough to land Bryce at Duquesne remains to be seen, as the way he is going, he is more than likely to get a lot of offers from some of the top programs in the country, by the time he is eligible in 2025. Still, there is no harm in trying and it would be a big boost to their program if he does commit.

The James household will probably start thinking about Bryce’s college prospects a while later though, as the priority right now is his older brother, Bronny James. Bronny’s recruitment is a hot topic of conversation at the moment, as speculation grows by the passing day regarding his future. The University of Memphis, it would appear, has recently made him an offer and they are just one in a long line of colleges that are interested in him. We can expect a similar scene a couple of years down the road for Bryce, who certainly has a very bright future in front of him.

His passion for the sport was ignited after witnessing the high-octane offense of the Steve Nash-led Phoenix Suns. Among the Suns, Shawn Marion stood out to Gautam as an all-time underrated NBA player. Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
